I'm Suzanne and this is my husband, Jim.
My husband is the bread winner in the family,
but it is like pulling teeth to get qualified leads
off of the Internet. When Google Adwords and
Overture first came out (before 60,000 of our
competitors learned about "pay per click"),
we did okay in getting prospects from PPC.
However, it didn't take very long before we were
literally paying through the nose for leads. What
I mean by that is paying for advertising campaigns
that "so many" people click on, but only "so few"
people actually request information.
Our advertising campaigns would cost us several hundred dollars, and our
average lead was anywhere between $30 to $50 and, by the time you reach
them, they requested so much information from so many people, they don't even
remember who you are!!! With these new leads in the natural search
results, they look forward to talking to you and even return your calls!!!
Because of this, I have been doing research for years and years on how to get
up in the "natural" search engines. At one point, I actually hired an SEO firm
and paid tens of thousands of dollars before I realized we never got closer
than #30 in Google and Yahoo! (when they guaranteed first page results).
